BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT

As a public relations professional with an extensive background in human resources and hospitality, I am always eager to leverage my relationship management expertise in the rapidly developing communications industry, gaining deeper understandings of both the spread of information and the psychology of public perceptions, in this digital era.

Due to my past professional experiences, I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to handling confidential client information, planning special events and liaising with multiple business entities and sectors. I also have experience working with diverse paid advertising campaigns, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. These campaigns all met their goals and increased my confidence in my abilities to develop marketing strategies, target new audiences and promote ideas, products and services.

I would describe myself as being a quick learner who is highly respectful, driven and dependable. I also have a proven track record of actively listening to and quickly settling client concerns in a professional manner.

I am at my best when I am developing trust and constructive working relationships with others, sharing ideas, supporting clients and accomplishing organizational goals.

When it comes to my academic background, I have been formally educated at the tertiary level in three different countries around the world. These experiences gave me a broader understanding of globalization and allowed me to build a plethora of relationships with people from different cultures and societies. I hold a Post-graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from George Brown College, a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School. I am also a proud member of both the HRPA and CPRS.

In my spare time I enjoy writing, mentoring, travelling and supporting various charitable causes. Some of the initiatives I have been involved in include working as a fundraising ambassador for Epilepsy Toronto and volunteering with the charity After Breast Cancer.
